West Coast Meter specializes in taxi fleet upfitting, providing the taxi industry with such equipment as taximeters, toplights and wiring harnesses. We have installed and continue to service several of the largest Metro Vancouver taxicab companies.
We were involved from the outset, with the security cameras mandated for the taxicab industry and installed more than 1200 units. As members of the Taxi Camera Review Group, we work with the Passenger Transportation Board to review existing equipment issues, protocols, ident/forensics assessments and options for upgrades and replacements. We work in direct conjunction with The City of Vancouver to ensure the accuracy of taximeters.
